ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The suspect in a fatal shooting at an apartment complex on Manor Parkway earlier this year pleaded guilty.

Michael Buie pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon following the deadly shooting of 35-year-old Jemell Allen.

Allen was with relatives at the apartment when he and Buie began to argue and then fight. Investigators said Buie then shot Allen in the back of the head. In March, Buie turned himself in at the Public Safety Building with an attorney.

Buie's sentencing has been scheduled for December 15, 2025.
