MANCHESTER, N.H. —

Manchester police say they have linked a May shooting and an August car fire to one man.

Authorities said charred remnants of three cars on the city's West Side were the result of arson.

Officials said one of the cars was intentionally set on fire in an alley on Cartier Street. The flames spread to two other vehicles and also damaged a nearby building.

Police announced Thursday that 39-year-old Jonathan Santiago Torres was arrested in connection with the fire and the shooting of a man on the other side of the city.

Details are limited, but police said their investigation developed probable cause linking Torres to a shooting at a Spruce Street home in May.
