Kate Middleton had an emotional reunion with an old friend today during a royal engagement, as she was joined by none other than Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton - who happens to be Prince George's godfather.

The reunion came the Princess of Wales visited Sudbury Silk Mills, a family-run weaving mill in Suffolk that has been at the forefront of jacquard weaving and an integral part of the British textile industry for over 300 years. And while royal watchers were no doubt focused on Catherine as she paid tribute to her husband, Prince William , in a Prince of Wales checked suit, for the future queen herself, a very special reunion was on the cards.
