There will be major changes coming for Cheshire’s animal control facility. An animal control officer is stepping down after an investigation commissioned by the town into conditions in that facility.
At a special town council meeting Thursday, there was remorse from officials in the room.

A formal investigation commissioned by the town found failures in the treatment of dogs that were seized in an animal cruelty case back in 2022.
Town manager Sean Kimball said the town accepts responsibility.
