CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cuyahoga County prosecutors and the man accused of killing Aliza Sherman have another week to argue whether a watch found near Sherman’s body should undergo more forensic testing.
Gregory Moore, a former attorney who represented Sherman in her divorce, is charged with stabbing her to death outside his law office in downtown Cleveland on March 24, 2013. He has pleaded not guilty.
Moore appeared Thursday for a hearing before Common Pleas Judge Kira Krivosh. His attorney, Jon Paul Rion, and prosecutors were expected to argue the issue of the watch.
Instead, Rion told Krivosh that his client’s position would be better suited to additional briefings rather than oral arguments.
