On Wednesday, a gunman shot and killed far-right political commentator and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk during a speaking event at Utah Valley University in Orem, UT.

In the immediate wake of Kirk’s assassination, political leaders on both sides of the aisle, including nearly every member of Alabama’s congressional delegation, quickly released statements condemning political violence and offering their condolences to Kirk’s family.
