Meet the Mets

The Mets jumped out to a 4-0 lead over the Phillies last night, but they let the lead slip away and lost 6-4 as they dropped their sixth-straight game. With that, the Mets are a staggering 11.0 games back in the National League East—having cut the Phillies’ lead to four games just sixteen days ago—and both the Giants and Reds are now just one-and-a-half games behind them for the third and final Wild Card spot in the National League.

The Mets commemorated 9/11 as they always do, wearing the logos of various agencies that participated in the response to and recovery from the attack, and Francisco Lindor’s glove paid tribute, as well.
