WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) - Someone who purchased a lottery ticket at Big Y in Wilbraham hit the jackpot with $2,500 a week for life!

The Massachusetts State Lottery states that GLF 2025 Trust of Springfield has claimed the prize for the winning “$2,500 a Week for Life” $10 instant ticket game on Thursday.

The face you see in the photo is not the actual winner. This is Susan McCoy, a trustee collecting the prize for the winner who elected to remain anonymous. They chose to receive its prize in the form of a one-time payment of $2,000,000 before taxes.

In Massachusetts, when a large lottery prize is won, it is required to be identified to the public when claiming the winnings. However, an increasingly popular choice to get around this is to claim the winnings through a trust.
