SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - After nearly 2 years of planning, the Massachusetts Democratic Party state convention is set to take place on Saturday inside the MassMutual Center.
"It's going to be a day filled with everything from breakfast, we have trainings, and then there'll be a morning filled with speeches from state-wide leaders," said Steve Kerrigan, chair of the Massachusetts Democratic Party.
The goal of the convention is to review a document to help democrats win elections across Massachusetts and in Washington, D.C.
"Our party is about debate and discussion. We all understand what's at stake for the country, we all understand what needs to happen in the next 417 days," said Kerrigan.
