The U.S. president made the comments on Fox News Friday morning
A 22-year-old man from Utah was taken into police custody Friday in connection with the killing of Charlie Kirk.
Authorities identified the suspect as Tyler Robinson in a press conference on Friday morning.
“We got him,” Utah Governor Spencer Cox said.
He said Robinson was caught after one of his family members reached out to a family friend who then contacted authorities. A family member told officials that Robinson had become more political and had said he “didn’t like (Kirk) and the viewpoints he had.”
President Donald Trump revealed earlier in Friday that authorities had arrested a suspect.
“I think, with a high degree of certainty, we have him in custody,” the U.S. president said on Fox News Friday morning.
