Brian Walshe , who is accused of killing and dismembering his wife in January 2023, was stabbed while in jail ahead of his trial, according to Larry Tipton, a lawyer representing him.

Tipton said he was informed Walshe was stabbed and was out of the hospital Friday morning. Walshe is back at Norfolk County Jail, where he is being held without bail pending his Oct. 20 trial.

Tipton had no further updates as of 9:45 a.m.

Walshe, of Cohasset, is accused of killing and dismembering his wife, Ana, in January 2023.

The 39-year-old woman went missing on New Year’s Day 2023. Walshe told investigators that his wife took a cab to Logan International Airport for a trip to Washington, D.C., where she worked during the week.
