US President Donald Trump has said that “with a high degree of certainty” the suspect in Charlie Kirk’s killing has been caught.
Speaking on Fox News on Friday, Trump said: "I think we have him.
"I think with a high degree of certainty we have him in custody. He's in custody. Everybody did a great job, local police the governor."
Trump also said that "someone that was very close to him turned him in," adding a "minister, father" helped in his capture.
"I hope he's gonna be found guilty, I would imagine, and I hope he gets the death penalty for what he did," the 79-year-old added.
On Thursday, federal investigators and state officials released photos and a video of the person they believed to be responsible.
