Body President Joseph DePasquale made formal his proposal to plant a new grove of trees at Burr's Hill Park during the most recent Warren Town Council meeting held Tuesday night, Sept. 9.
DePasquale was joined in making the presentation by the town's tree warden Matthew Largess, who termed the plantings as being an "arboretum."
DePasquale first brought up the matter in May during a larger council discussion on Warren's tree canopy.
Most recently, he, largess, Town Solicitor Anthony DeSisto and Department of Public Works employee Scott Almeida toured the site to come up with a preliminary plot, which would leave a vast open expanse in front of the eponymous hills with some plantings there while adding trees atop the knolls.
