MESA, Ariz. — A Valley family of three was killed in a head-on crash in Texas on Monday as they were traveling back to Arizona.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said Ronald Momyer, 62, Julie Momyer, 61, and an 11-year-old boy sustained fatal injuries after a truck towing a semi-trailer hit their vehicle on Interstate 40 in Oldham County.

The truck was traveling in the eastbound lanes before veering over the median and entering the westbound lanes, where it struck the family's car. The driver of the truck was reportedly not injured.

Texas DPS said the three deceased individuals were residents of Mesa.
