The FBI has revealed the identity of the suspect they have in custody for the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk on Wednesday.
President Donald Trump, who confirmed Kirk’s death after he was shot in the neck at Utah Valley University, was the first to break the news of the suspect’s arrest on Friday morning.
Utah Governor Spencer Cox has since unveiled Tyler Robinson as the suspect at a press conference, taking to the podium alongside FBI Director Kash Patel and other law enforcement officials.
Cox revealed that a family member of Robinson’s contacted a family friend, who in turn reached out to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, claiming that Robinson had either confessed to them or hinted that he was the shooter.
