TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A former Leon County Sheriff’s Office deputy was indicted in federal court for possessing illegal firearms.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida, Bill Cullpepper, 57, of Havana, Florida, is charged with three counts of possession of a machine gun, three counts of possession of an unregistered firearm/short-barreled rifle, and one count of possession of an unmarked silencer.
If convicted, Culpepper faces up to ten years for each count.
Earlier this year, Culpepper was arrested on separate drug trafficking charges.
Culpepper, who was previously a Leon County school resource deputy, and his son were arrested in March after being accused of working together to traffic marijuana.
