Friday afternoon appears to have more thunderstorms in the forecast, but a front may give South Florida a (brief) break from the widespread rain and flooding.
But first, that same front pushing south will be the trigger for the afternoon storms, with periods of flooding expected Friday and Saturday.
On a positive note, the front will also bring a tranquil Sunday our way. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if less 30% of the region sees raindrops. You may even notice a little dip in humidity as the front pushes south of us.
But this storm-free period won't last long. Our front will limp back to the north and turn the hose on us again.
