CLINTON, Tenn. (WATE) — A former principal of Clinton High School was indicted on multiple charges connected to a head-on crash that happened on Clinch Avenue in Clinton earlier this year.

According to the Clinton Police Department, Daniel Jenkins, 43, was indicted by the Anderson County Grand Jury on counts of driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, prohibited use of a wireless telecommunications device, and violation of the open container law.

Clinton Police said the crash in the 100 block of Clinch Avenue happened on May 31, 2025. The department alleged that Jenkins, traveling northbound, crossed the center line and struck a southbound vehicle head-on.
