GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCSC) - Georgetown Police say they have identified a person of interest accused of firing shots in a neighborhood Friday morning.

Police have not yet released the person’s name, but say the shots were fired in the area of Alex Alford and Prince Streets.

Officers were able to confirm that no one was injured by the gunfire and secured the area.

The say Friday morning’s shooting was isolated and not related to a Thursday shooting in the 1900 block of Front Street that left an underage boy wounded.

Police say EMS took that victim to an area hospital for treatment.
