OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The classic story of “Grease” is being brought to life on the stage at the Omaha Community Playhouse.
The show runs from Sept. 12, 2025 - Oct. 12, 2025 at the Hawks Mainstage Theater. Vincent Orduña is the director.
“The show is about a group of adolescents that are sort of coming of age,” Orduña said. “It’s a love story.”
The story focuses on the characters of Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski, famously portrayed in the 1978 film by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, respectively.
“It’s all about how they navigate their relationship with the pressures of school, identity,” Orduña said.
In addition to directing the show, Orduña is stepping into a new role at the OCP: Artistic Director.
