SALEM Ore. (KPTV) - Several Oregon lawmakers have received threats on Thursday after the assassination of political activist Charlie Kirk, according to authorities.
A spokesperson for Oregon State Police told FOX 12 on Thursday evening they were aware of threats received by three Oregon legislators by email. They said Senate President Rob Wagner (D-Lake Oswego) and Senate Majority Leader Kayse Jama (D-Portland) received threatening emails.
“The Oregon State Police is aware of the threats received today by three Oregon legislators by email,” the spokesperson said. “OSP is in communication with local responding police agencies and monitoring the investigation.
