HILLSBORO, Ore. (KPTV) - Three people were taken to a hospital following a crash that damaged part of the Shute Park Library in Hillsboro on Friday.

At about 11:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a multi-car crash on Southeast 10th Avenue near Southeast Maple Street. One of the cars from the crash hit the Shute Park Library.

Hillsboro Fire says three people were taken to the hospital; one person from inside the library, the second person from outside, and the third person was in one of the cars. The extent of their injuries is not known.

The library received some damage from the crash included broken glass and a damaged facade. Hillsboro Fire says the building’s structure is okay.

Shute Park Library is closed at this time. There’s no word on when it will reopened.
