DARTMOUTH — A woman hiking in the Paskamansett/Gidley Woods Thursday morning, Sept. 11, reported sighting a black bear mother and cub, according to Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust (DNRT), which manages the Paskamansett Woods reserve abutting the privately owned Gidley Woods.

According to DNRT Office Manager Deborah Cunha, it was around 8 a.m. when the woman hiker reportedly saw what she identified as a black bear mother and cub crossing a bridge along the trail.
