WALTHILL, Neb. (KTIV) - A federal judge sentenced a Northeast Nebraska man to two years in prison on Monday, Sept. 8.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office, a judge sentenced 48-year-old Arthur Marr of Walthill for assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
The judge sentenced the man to 24 months in prison and a three-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
This comes after an incident in October 2024. The attorney’s office says Marr assaulted a man on the Omaha Nation Indian Reservation, striking the person repeatedly and causing bodily injury. After the incident, the man stayed in the hospital for two days.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says during these two days, Marr messaged the victim and threatened him with assault.
