SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was arrested in connection with a cocaine drug trafficking organization operating in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office Special Investigation Section, along with the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, launched an investigation, during which SIS detectives were able to purchase a 'trafficking amount of cocaine.'

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office identified the person who sold them the cocaine as Andres R. Gonzalez, 45.

On Thursday, MCSO and the Drug Enforcement Agency served a search warrant at a residence located in Bradenton, where Gonzalez was present at the time.
