VIRGINIA, USA — Governor Glenn Youngkin has ordered flags in Virginia to be flown at half-staff following a presidential proclamation by Donald J. Trump Wednesday.
The order directs that flags of the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia be lowered on all state and local buildings and grounds from Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, until sunset on Sept. 14, 2025.
The tribute honors Charlie Kirk, founder and president of Turning Point USA, who was shot and killed while delivering a speech at Utah Valley University earlier this week.
The order was issued on Wednesday.
