In recent weeks, reporting emerged that Netflix was in deep negotiations for a second season renewal for The Hunting Wives. This show was originally destined for Starz, but Netflix picked it up for US-only rights . After spending well over a month in the Netflix top 10s, Netflix has opted to renew the show for a second season and make the show a complete global original.

There’s no word on if and when season 1 of The Hunting Wives , which has been sold in other territories, will join Netflix outside the US, although it seems inevitable in regions where the rights are available. As for season 2, they do note, “Season 2 will release exclusively as a Netflix-branded series in nearly all countries where Netflix is available.” Australia and Canada are expected to be excluded.
