Whether it was Aaron Rodgers’ precision, Arthur Smith’s smart offensive scheme or a better-than-expected performance from Pittsburgh’s pass-catchers, the Steelers offense snapped an important trend while grounding the Jets at MetLife Stadium.

It also, you know, actually scored some points.

While dropping their final five games of 2024, the Steelers averaged 14.2 points per game. They didn’t exceed 17. We definitely didn’t lack for offseason questions involving quarterback, the running game, offensive line depth or wide receivers other than DK Metcalf.

One solid performance from the offense made us feel at least somewhat better about that side of the ball, but it’s time for the Steelers to step up to the plate.
