In the 15 months since the Blues drafted Adam Jiricek in the first round of the 2024 draft, the defenseman has had plenty to navigate.
There was the recovery from a knee injury that cut his draft year short, caused him to miss the 2024 training camp, and forced him to report to Brantford in the OHL a month into the season. There were more injuries during the season that prevented him from playing regularly. But when Jiricek checked into St. Louis for prospect camp before this weekend’s prospect tournament, there was a win to celebrate.
Jiricek was up to 185 pounds, a 25-pound gain from when the Blues took him with the 16th pick more than a year ago.
