NATCHITOCHES, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The City of Natchitoches has announced that the intersection of East Fifth Street on Bienville is expected to be reopened to traffic on Monday, September 15, 2025.

The intersection first closed on September 2 for the replacement of an existing deteriorated asphalt pavement with new concrete pavement. This work is part of the City of Natchitoches 2025 Street Rehabilitation Program.

Even though the project will be complete on Friday, September 12, there will still be a 72-hour cure time necessary before vehicles can be allowed on the new concrete slab, according to a news release from the City of Natchitoches.
