Detectives have arrested a Fresno man in connection with a 2018 homicide, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.
Homicide detectives on Thursday arrested Anthony Yepez, 38, of Fresno on a murder charge in the death of Ka Vang Her, 34. He was found dead in a vacant home on the 2600 block of South Willow Avenue on Oct. 21, 2018.
The victim had suffered a fatal head wound, and detectives determined his death to be suspicious.
Despite conducting interviews and analyzing evidence at the time, investigators were initially unable to identify a suspect.
Detectives recently developed new information linking Yepez to the case, obtained an arrest warrant, and located him near Ashlan and Blackstone avenues, where he was taken into custody.
Yepez was booked into the Fresno County Jail with bail
