SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The wait is over, as South Bend is once again packed with fans who are gearing up for the first Notre Dame home football game of the season.

Campus is buzzing ahead of the top 25 showdown on Saturday night between the No. 8 Irish and the No. 16 Aggies. From private jets flying into South Bend International Airport to giant campers parking just off campus, football fans are descending on South Bend.

Notre Dame fans are known for traveling far and wide, but there are a lot of Texas A&M fans who are in town for the big game.

WNDU 16 News Now spoke to some passionate fans who were out on Eddy Street ahead of the game. One Texas A&M fan told us about his first impressions of South Bend and Notre Dame.
