SCRANTON, Pa. — Meals on Wheels of NEPA has called Wyoming Avenue in Scranton home for the past 30 years, cooking up 1,500 meals a day for seniors across six counties, but soon it'll be serving up a new chapter.
"This project is really pivotal because it will enable us to do more with the same funding that we're receiving, and it's really important because we're seeing the population of older adults in need continue to grow every single day," said Lindsey Skripka, Meals on Wheels of NEPA executive director.
Developer John Basalyga has been working with Meals on Wheels to find its new home, a vacant old warehouse along Cherry Street.
