Charles County coworkers land $150K Powerball prize after jackpot chase

Marbury, MD – A pair of coworkers turned a shared dream of chasing the $1.7 billion Powerball jackpot into a six-figure reality, scoring a $150,010 prize after hitting big with a boosted ticket bought just days before the drawing.

The Charles County duo, who only play when lottery jackpots hit headline-making heights, purchased their winning Powerball ticket at Gray’s Market on Chicamuxen Road in Marbury ahead of the Sept. 9 drawing.
