The man arrested in the killing of Charlie Kirk is described by family members and acquaintances as a “very smart” and quiet child who had recently become “more political.”

Tyler Robinson, 22, was arrested late Thursday in Washington County, Utah, about 250 miles from the Utah Valley University campus, where the conservative activist was gunned down Wednesday afternoon during a speaking event with students.

Robinson was arrested on suspicion of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily harm, and obstruction of justice, all felonies, according to court documents.
