ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The City of St. Louis said Friday in-person assistance for those impacted by the May 16 tornado is still available through Thursday, Sept. 25.
While the period to submit an initial application for assistance from FEMA has ended, people can appeal denials or might have to submit documents to support their initial claim in person by that date.
The city said after Sept. 25, anyone needing help from FEMA would need to get ahold of them either online or by phone.
FEMA said the staff members are on the ground mainly to help residents with their applications, uploading required documents and answering any and all questions.
