STANSBURY PARK, Utah (ABC4) — Multiple southbound lane closures are in place in the area of State Route 36 and Pole Canyon Road due to a Hazardous material spill.

According to the North Tooele Fire District (NTFD), crews responded at 12:40 p.m. to the area of State Route 36 and Pole Canyon Road (SR-138). They discovered that approximately 200-300 gallons of poly phosphoric acid had spilled from a semi-trailer.

Currently, cleanup operations are underway as NTFD and other agencies work to mitigate the spill. While north bound traffic is unaffected, two southbound lanes are blocked. Additionally, the right shoulder is blocked.
