We've been experiencing warm conditions, but the forecast models are showing a powerful ridge of high pressure building over the Central Plains and Mississippi Valley. This system is poised to bring a prolonged stretch of hot and dry weather to Southern Indiana. We expect temperatures, especially daytime highs, to climb significantly, running many degrees above average for this time of year.

Starting Sunday and continuing through at least Wednesday, we're forecasting highs to really push into the middle to upper 90s, which is about 10 degrees warmer than what we typically see for this period.
