NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Weekend Weather Outlook

High pressure will remain in control through the weekend, keeping our weather quiet, hot, and mostly dry. Overnight lows will range from the upper 60s to lower 70s north, and low to mid-70s farther south. Afternoon highs will climb into the lower 90s near the coast and the mid-90s inland. With dry air mixing down in the afternoons, heat index values should stay near 95° each day — hot, but not extreme for this time of year.

Rain chances will stay very low. While a stray afternoon shower can’t be completely ruled out, most areas will stay dry with chances under 10%.
