CANTON, Ill (WMBD) -- For Canton's high school marching band, it's all about fostering a culture centered around family.
"There's just a deep-rooted tradition of excellence (at Canton)," Bethany Freeser, Director of Bands at Canton said.
The tradition at Canton High School has laid the foundation for a special culture with its marching band program.
"The friendships and the family bonds that grow, it's incredible. Band is a different experience," Chase Driscoll, a senior drum major, said.
"I don't think there's anywhere else you can get that kind of community, and it's so great," Christopher Denning, a senior drum major, said.
