JACKSON, Mich. (WILX) - The sounds of shovels, saws, and hammers are filling the air this weekend in Jackson, as volunteers and community partners transform homes along Backus Street.

The Jackson Curb Appeal Project runs September 12-14 between Ganson and Clinton streets. It’s the first initiative under the Home Builders Association’s relaunched Builders Care program, in partnership with the Jackson Area Association of Realtors. Over the weekend, crews are providing free exterior upgrades for residents, from landscaping and painting to repairs and accessibility improvements.
