Anchorage Animal Care and Control (AACC) had an unusual stray slither through its doors, but the animal didn't stay long.

On Sept. 9, the Alaskan agency posted on Facebook to share that it had a stray snake looking for a forever home.

"We currently have a milk snake named Whey looking for that perfect place to call home. Whey did come into the shelter as a stray, so not much is known of his background, but while being in our care, he has been easy to handle and feed," Anchorage Animal Care and Control captioned the post, which featured several photos of the reptile casually draped over someone's arm.

The post added that "snake lovers will be quite impressed by this handsome man's personality," before encouraging followers to apply to adopt the snake.
