Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after a body was found at the edge of a field in North Dumfries.

Officers were seen doing a grid search with metal detectors Friday afternoon on Brant-Waterloo Road, between Cambridge and Glen Morris, after a “suspicious death,” police said. The body was discovered in the morning.

Brant-Waterloo Road was closed off at West River Road for the investigation.
