EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and local authorities gave their daily update on the cleanup process after the Newburgh chemical fire at PBTT manufacturer.

EPA says an additional 38 properties were assessed and cleaned today, bringing the total to 82.

They say crews have also completed over 60% of assessment and cleanup of Vann Park, but it will continue to be closed until further notice.

Officials say while they are cleaning the park, drivers should use alternate roads along Vann Road to avoid the area through Saturday.

They say if you have to use Vann Road, to use extreme caution.

Officials say if you have visible ash on your property and would like EPA to inspect it, to contact them at R5_PIO@epa.gov.
