GREENBRIER, Tenn. (WSMV) - A barn was destroyed in an early morning fire in Greenbrier on Thursday, according to Smokey Barn News.
SBN reports crews responded to the 2800 block of Gideon Road at around 4:18 a.m. on Thursday for reports of a barn fire. The property owner had noticed the fire when he woke up for work.
By the time firefighters arrived, the barn, which was around 50 by 50 feet, was fully engulfed in flames, with around 200 bales of hay burning.

Fire crews were eventually able to contain the blaze, but the barn was destroyed along with the hay.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No injuries were reported in the incident, but SBN said some animals may have been killed in the blaze.
