LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- In Lafayette, a fight among parents at a school bus stop has one mother worried about her own safety and the safety of her five-year-old child.

Haley Richardson of Lafayette said fight that occurred on Thursday allegedly involved a knife and what they thought was a real gun.

Meanwhile, the Lafayette Police Department confirmed the fight between the two parents originated from a child allegedly being bullied. Police explained that a school resource officer informed the parish school system about the bullying.

Richardson's mother, Crystal Proctor, wants to see the woman go to jail.
