DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A Douglas County woman was found guilty in the fentanyl death of her 22-month-old son Layton Gilmour, according to the 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

The DA said 29-year-old Hanna Gilmour was convicted of felony child abuse resulting in death and misdemeanor child abuse.

In November 2022, the DA said the child’s father arrived at Gilmour’s home in Littleton for a custody change and noticed the child “didn’t look right.” They said Gilmour responded that the toddler was just sleeping.

Minutes after the father had arrived at his mother’s house with the toddler, the DA said the toddler was no longer breathing.

Officials said the father called 911, and the toddler was later pronounced dead.
