DENVER (KKTV) - A Denver man was sentenced to five years in community corrections on Friday for felony talking and violating a protection order, according to the 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
The DA said 33-year-old Taylor Warford placed a GPS tracking device on his ex-wife’s vehicle and repeatedly threatened to kill her and her child.
Officials said Warford was on probation for domestic violence against the same woman at the time. The woman reportedly relocated to Castle Rock following his domestic violence conviction.
According to the DA, the situation escalated when Warford’s family contacted authorities to report that he had bought five sets of handcuffs and a butane torch using their shared Amazon account.
