EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KXRM) — The El Paso County Sheriff's Office said two minors were arrested on the scene after deputies got reports of "multiple students" on school property who were in possession of a firearm.

The on-site School Resource Office (SRO) responded and found a student in possession of a handgun. Soon after, the SRO found the other student associated with the incident and detained both students.

EPSO said during the incident, there were several unsubstantiated reports of other students at the school. Deputies investigated with the help of K9 Jack, all of which were found to be untrue.
