NEWBURY, Vt. (WCAX) - One person is dead after a crash involving two motorcycles on Friday.

According to Vermont State Police, it happened at around 3:25 p.m. near the P & H Truck Stop on U.S. Route 302 in Newbury.

They say one biker rear-ended 72-year-old Steven Staniszewski’s motorcycle after a truck in front of him was slowing to pull off the road.

The unnamed biker was ejected from the motorcycle and found unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the biker is being withheld while police contact their family.
